Default CAR IDLE GAY...TRIED MANY THINGS

my car idles bad, up and down, wants to die out when it goes down. does it mainly when car is warm up and been driving for about 5-10 min. and on. ive tried seafoam, tried changing timing, adjust the air ratio on th throttle body, change my fuel filter, change spark plugs and wires, ran compression test 180-180-175-180. i herd that it could be my idle control valve, can someone tell me where its located at in the engine bay?? and how much would it cost to buy a new one. i have a stock 94 hatch cx with 187k miles. i'm planning to swap so i dont wnat to spend money on this motor. i was wondering if i had to change the idle control valve can i use it on a d16z6/a later on??? and what is a IAC. any help would be great. thanks.

I would first check for vacuum leaks.
If that comes out ok
then swap a good know IAC (Idle air Control valve)

I had the same problem, you can only buy the iacv from honda and its like a 300$ part. Look on finding a used manifold with one already on there. good luck.

Pull off a vacuum hose and see if theres any change. If there is theres a leak. But if its a bad leak then you wont see a change and need a gauge or a good ear and listen for it.

IAC, take off the 2 12mm bolts from the back and spray down the screen with carb cleaner. shake it off and put it back on.

FITV is another thing that might cause it. 3 10mm bolts under the throttle body drops the FITV. 2 screws on the side, take them off and screw the white piece down.

All free to do.

i clean the IAC, i spay the heck outta it, the screen is clean as new. but it made my problem wrost. now i have to turn up my idle max just to keep from dying out. was i not suppose to spray it in both holes?? and just only the screen hole? i'll give the FITV a shot. and where can i find the right vacuum hose(s) to test. and can someone show me how to bleed my coolant for a 94 hatch cx stock motor. thanks.
