suggestions for a 94 lude buildup
Im fixing to leave for IRAQ...again...im storing my 94 prelude till i get back
ill probably come back with a nice fat wad of cash to spend. Ive already done a f22 to h22jdm swap on it.
it pulls ok but deffinetly lacks low end power. vtec kicks on at around 5500 and then the thing flys. I am thinking turbo but i want to go BIG boost. Im not worried about the body since it looks sexy stock. Power first then suspension and brakes was my plan. I was going to go something like bottom to top... oil pan, crankshaft, connecting rods, pistons, sleeves, porting, rings, valves, retainers, springs, cams... intake mani, fuel, and management, that would give me a pretty strong motor to start with. then move onto a stage 3 or 4 from gearspeed tranny...welll you guys get the idea...any and all suggestions will be appreciated...

If you wanted to boost, you should've just kept the F22.
when it comes to boosing Honda motors, do it right the first time and make sure you go to a person with a good reputation. I've seen WAAAAY too many people wasting money and blowing their motors.

Im aiming for at least 300whp,,,that im hoping should be enough to stopm the ever lovin cheese whiz out of any mustang i come acrosss...and yes ill have about 10 to 15k to spend...

Pm'd you 6E lude ( i live right next to camp lejune ) zeroprelude you should be able to toast those mustangs chasing the cheese pretty easy with that setup i run a far more ghetto setup stock engine h22a1 vtec 158k 12-14 psi depnding on my mood manual tuned fuel for fun < by me im great, been running it for 9k miles now. my front crankshaft oil seal went bad though cause it was leaking already before turbo and it was its time to go. other than that no problems 13.2 /108mph

ive started to amke my list already...thats good advice...im worried about the rest of the motor though..i dont want to be another one of those guys that drops in all the internals cranks up the boost and blammo!!! i was looking at sending my block off to goldeneagle in cali...they have a good rep with a few guys i know and i hear they do great work...i checked out thier website and they seem like the go-to guys when it comes to engine buildup...
Antballs has a good list. I have done everything that he has on his list, the only thing that is diff. is a differential and an electronic boost controller. My 4th gen 2.3 lude is making 450 at the wheels with a 60-1 garrett turbo and 26x13x3 intercooler. It isn't necessary to buy a crank shaft since crank failure is very rare. But all of the other stuff is necessary to make good reliable power.
now a big question..(im probably gonna catch sht for this)...to keep vtec or not to keep vtec? I like it and i think i should keep it...it kicks on and my ***** end up in my guts...very cool...but some of my friends say keep it and others say ditch it...then ive read some of the threads in hre and it seems like a big deal to drive a honda without it...
