Default Losing power b/c I need a valve adj. ?

I'm just curious if I could be losing power because I need a valve adjusment. And how necessary is it to get a valve adjustment if you need one?

I get a ticking but that's only from a cold start. After its warmed up, the ticking stops. Any ideas?

you should always replace the valve cover gasket when you remove the cover - unless you're constantly doing so and have a fresh one there.

even then.. if you're currently having problems, better safe than sorry.

feeler gauges and a good manual. pay attention to the instructions and dont over tighten the nuts on the rockers, i dont use a tq wrech on those bolts i just put my hands close up on the wrech so i dont have much leverage( i only do this on my car).

as pictured in the c-speed article you might need the lock nut wrench for a gsr engine because you cant get to the rockets like you can with a ls engine.
