Default Vtec Through VAFC

Ok, i read before that i can run Vtec through a VAFC. I have a 1991 civic hb. I just installed a Vtec head but the VAFC has two wires for vtec a pink and purple. One goes from ecu to vafc, then one goes from vafc to vtec solenoid. So how will I be able to hook it up to run vtec if there is no wire on my non vtec ecu to connect to vafc?

Yeah, the VAFC doesn't care. That wire is to appease the VTEC gnomes in the VTEC ecus, but the VAFC overrides whatever the ecu says anyway.

get a PR3 ecu to make the car run better. VTEC ecus have different timing and fuel curves when VTEC engages... but then again a LS timing map at high rpms is not too different from a VTEC timing map. u might suffer from a low redline unless u get the ecu chipped

I kinda ASSumed that he would chip it and tune it anyway, but just in case, yes, you need to tune the ecu for the vtec head, and the VAFC isn't the greatest way of doing it, although it will work.

Well the ecu is chipped for the higher fuel of vtec. Only difference is the timing i guess.
