lots of smoke on my new build ??
as tiltle said resently got the motor to run and is burning execive amout of oil .. would anyone have a clue what could it be it has brand new je pro seal rings I did a compression test yesterday it show 175 to 180 across all cylinder does anyone one have a clue .
my gess is clerance, since they guy I bough the pistons and block said I need good piston to wall clerance atleast .0035 bc of the srp pistons expand on high temp so when i took the block to rehoone I gave the info to the machine shop to be exactly .0035
after that I put the motor together and it smoke like a jamaican in a 4/20 all by him selft .
the other problem I migth be thinking it that the rings are not seated well so that could lead to oil to leak and be burned
THANK IN ADVANCE

Hold it at about 1500RPM for about 10 minutes and see if its still pumping out a lot of smoke. I just did a swap and the rings just needed to seat themselves properly.
I am not familiar with those rings, are the forged or chrome moly? If they are the latter, you may have to get the engine pretty hot for them to seat.
Run the engine 1500-2000 rpm for 10-20 minutes, then shut it off and let it cool all the way down. If it's rings they should seat.
Also, what kind of pistons did you use? Just curious...

MY pistons are srp 81.5 mm 9.1 cr pistons and I use the je-pro seal rings ....I gave a cople of runs and it seem to be that the smoke is going away little by little ... I did a compression test before and it show 175 -180 across all cylinder it seems to be that i have to run it like u guys said for like 10 to 15 minutes at 1500 rpm but I cant now because I dont have my downpipe and for those little 3 minutes i run the engine my radiator fan almost melted bc of the heat the turbo trow to that side lol ...... thanks for the help guys and if u think something else is wrong go ahead and type it .. i really like to know

If it continues you have blow by my friend and also the head gasket was probably not sealed right those are some common possiblities. If you sent it to a respectable machinist he would refer to the piston manufactures recommendations for proper clearancing.
