Default rough cold starting problems for 15 seconds then fine? help

first off it is a 1st gen b16 with new distributor, wires, and plugs. battery and alternator is okay. Symptoms are: when cold starting it starts up weak and feels like its runing on three cylinders for 15-20 seconds and then it starts running smoothly. i checked my plugs yesterday and #3 has a little reddish color on it, and the #3 piston seems to have more carbon build up than the rest. (maybe this is the misfiring cylinder). it does not seem to blow any smoke. anyone else have this problem?
my thoughts are that the injector is leaking and when i cold start, the #3 plug is soaked in fuel and it takes time to actually fire? please point me in the right path
