i have an eg. with a ls/vtec swap. its fast but i know it can be a lot faster. my car bogs at 7000 and i know im losing power i have a bonestock JDM p72 ecu in my car right now . i was told that if i changed it to a chipped p28 i would get the power im lookin for? any suggestions?

 

when you say bogs at 7k.. what happens? are you sure the ECU doesnt just have a low rev limiter?

 

i'm pretty sure you're just hitting your ecu's fuel cut off. You could swap the ecu like you said and get a higher rev limit, but unless you have some engine upgrades to go with it, i don't see the point. Your cams are probably out of breath over 7k anyways.
