Exhaust problem!!!?!?!?
I recently purchased a exhaust for my car (97 hatch). I have a b16 motor in it with 97 spec USDM ITR 4-2-1 header and 00 Si cat. I bought a exhaust "EK9" and It doesnt wanna line up right. Seems like the cat converter is to long (and pushed the exhaust forward). It doesnt wanna line up to the first rubber hanger (about 4 inches off). I dont wanna chop up my new exhaust so I was thinking about getting a Omni power test pipe for it. From what I read they are adjustable length and can twist them to fit any USDM header, Can any confirm the length & how short they can made? IM pretty sure this will solve my problem

How far is it sticking out?
Where did you buy the exhaust from, sometimes...they send you the wrong ****, at least the less reputable places.
As far as your swap is concerned, I don't think it matters. Many swaps I have seen bolt right in to the exhaust length, no problems. Maybe your cat is fucked up. Ask someone on here for measurements, and see if your **** measures up to what you are supposed to have.

from what i understand the usdm ek's have a longer b-pipe (since the cat is mounted on the manifold, which in turn might be your problem since the car is swapped. I believe if you run a 92-95 eg cat back you'd be fine.

the exhuast is made by buddy club. It is made for the "EK9" type R. I asumed that the civic type R had a shorter cat, but I dunno I thought it would fit. My cat isnt fucked up, It might just be from another model (cause its longer). but yea Im pretty much gunna be looking into a test pipe to fix the problem

btw-yes on the CEL with the test pipe or no?
