JUST BUILT A D16Z6 FULL INTERNALS AND HEAD WORK ALSO BOLT ON HOW SHOULD...
theres a bunch of ways of breaking in a motor...
1. i usually disconnect the dizzy and crank it to prime the motor.... i usually do till the oil pressure light turns off then a few secs more...
2. then plug everything back up.. and crank the motor till it turns on...
3. let the motor fully warm up... so the oil can get into the cracks and what not to push out unwanted debris..
4. drain the oil and then put new oil of course...
5. drive on it for a few hundred miles.. but make sure you have a good base map to run it off of.. drive with a light foot.
6.change the oil again and bring it to the dyno for tuning...
well thats my 2 cent.. thats how i break in my motors and i've been having luck with them...
