Removing stock pistons from stock rods
Alright, so in the area I live no machine shops can press out the wrist pin from the piston without damaging the pistons. They don't have the equipment to do such small pistons.
So my question is has anyone removed wristpins themselves? I have a 20 ton press to use. I had thought about heating the piston and cooling the pin and seeing what I could do from there.

get a nice 4x4 about 6 inches long, cut a half circle out of it. drill a hole on through the center of the half circle (so that the wrist pin can pass through). Find a piece of metal that is smaller than the wrist pin and piston hole and use that to press the wrist pin out. also, you can line your piece of wood with a couple rags so you dont damage the piston walls.
I hope that was clear. if you have any questions, let me know

Even with the right parts there is always the risk of cracking them. You can make a base if you have a lathe. You want to heat the rod and cool the pin.Use some lube on the pin when you press it out.

got a Craftsman 15mm 3/8" depp well socket laying around.......like you never use them on a Honda.....perfect for pressing out 21mm pins, 13mm for D series 19mm wrist pins.....
Your still gonna risk the pistons no matter what though.......
