I just did a Z6 swap in my CRX. I converted it to OBD1. But I need to hook the VTEC and VTEC oil pressure up. I dont want to spend $100 on a OBD1 engine harness and just cut it up. Its going to be a waste. Is there a site that just sells the VTEC and VTEC oil pressure plugs individually?


And can i drive the car without hooking up the VTEC and VTEC oilpressure wire up?would it affect anything at all?

yes i checked all the junkyard and none of them have a VTEC engine harness laying around.

 

You can drive it without Vtec, but don't go past the engagement point...Horror stories.
p.s. i may have an extra off my old B16, i don't know if they're the same or not?

im pretty sure the last time i did a swap using a Civic si harness with a GSR engine and it plugs right in. how can they be different?

 

VTEC Solenoids for B and D series motors do look slightly different, but they are interchangable.
