Car bogs and now runs like crap... HELP!!!
Thursday I drove to work with no problem.... I get in my car to drive home and when i start to slowly accelerate my car starts bogging like crazy... I had to keep hitting the clutch and revin a little just go get her home... Now when i start my car it sputters and eventually dies... Its been raining here in jersey for about 9 days straight so i guess its possible that something got wet. This is about a week after a walboro 255 install... because I just went turbo... I have not hit boost yet though cause im waitin to get tuned on the 23rd... Im gonna replace the plugs and fuel filter as soon as i get over to autozone but does anyone know wut the hell is goin on with my car.
Something could have gotten wet like you mentioned, possibly moisture in the distributor. Replaced your cap lately? You make it sound like you didn't have this problem right after you went turbo, but recheck all that just to make certain.
I had the same problem on my 98EX. What ever you do don't keep driving it. Your not getting spark to one or more cylinders. This is exaclty what happend to me and I eventually blew the motor because I kept driving it. I would HIGHLY recommend replacing all of the spark plugs, the plug wires and the cap and rotor. If that doesn't work, let it sit until it stops raining and then a few days after to dry out.
I just replaced the spark plugs and fuel filter... the problem is everything on my motor is new... the b20 has about 20,000 miles on it but when i did the swap i got brand new everything... the wires are new... alternator...intake mani....etc... everything is mint... besides for the internals the motor literally has nothing on it that has over 2,000 miles of use... Im starting to think that the fuel pump is the issue... i just installed a walboro 255 for boost... problem is i needed to switch injector clips so until my clips come on monday Im runnin stock injectors and stock ecu.. once i get my rc440's in i can also throw in my chipped P75 with basemap for my setup.. By the way i am getting tuned on the 23rd so no one please give me the u have to tune line....

This COULD be the problem but lets not say it IS the problem! If ther was only one thing that caused bogging no one would ever have a question about it!
I'd start with fuel, sounds like its not getting enough fuel. Borrow or buy a fuel pressure gauge from someone, and check that ****. My guess is you're running about 12-15 PSI which could be a clogged filter in the tank, a bad pump, a clog in any line, a clog in the filter at the firewall, a fuel pressure regulator stuck open. If you have good pressure it still might be a clog in the injector screens or plugged up injectors.
If it isn't fuel, you have to guess its timing, so check base timing (timing light with ECU jumpered at stock idle) and make sure it is stock.
That's all I can think of that it would really be, but i'm banking on a clog somewhere in the fuel tank, possibly something got knocked into the tank when you were doing the pump? or the pump is bad.
good luck!
