car rides like a brick, looking for a new suspension setup
My crx has H&R race springs with blues. I have ST sway bars, z10 crossmember and the full poly kit from ES.
I live in metro detroit and i cant even drive my car to work, i hit my head on the roof like 10 times on the way. Im going for the daily driver race car, but im not hardcore into suspension, I was happy with the way it handled stock. My car is more of a drag racer anyways... check my sig for my motor setup.
I need to go with a much softer spring, Id like to keep everything else though. Id like around a 2 inch drop too. Any recommendations?

your issue is going poly on your bushings... and not have adjustable shocks... the only bushing i keep on the car other than OEM are the RLCA and they are m00gen
h&r race springs are known to be as hard as a rock though. if i got softer springs (recommendations anyone?) would i also need to get rid of the blues?
I have the H&R race springs on my CRX with Koni Yellows. If I have them set anywhere from Medium to Full Soft, it rides like a champ. Firm, but smooth.
The tokico blues really suck though. I'd look in changing those out first to an adjustable shock before I would look at getting different springs.
Just my $.02

ES bushings + tokico blues + any stiff springs = recipe for a rough ride
if u want your car to have a chance at riding anything like a normal car in the city....u need rubber bushings (OEM or Mugen) and some better dampers....
tokico blues are evil with springs like that.

poly bushings don't hurt the ride very much....but it does wonders in making the car handle.
Get softer springs and maybe adjustible struts

I would get rubber bushings (those poly bushings are making your ride rough). If you dont want to change those, I would get some adjustable shocks. I roll on Koni Yellows w/ Ground Controls, and I have a firm but subtle ride.

im running the exact same setup as you, h and r race, blue, st sways but without the bushings. The ride is nice and firm and yes it can be a little rough at times, but nothing out of the ordinary for a typical setup. My biggest complaint is at very low speeds, such as speed bumps, in and out of parking lots, Im pretty happy with everything otherwise.
Im in Detroit all the time, and yes, the roads suck.

Disconnect the sway bar, it makes a big difference. Reconnect it when you go racing it's easy.
Also, I used to have Neuspeed Race springs and switched to H&R OEM performance. Much better and still a very solid ride.

KYB AGX 4-way w/ GC's
i couldnt be happier w/ it, rides like a champ
but i like to switch/try using Koni's or Bilstein's after sometime or better yet if i have the cash to burn, i'll go w/ the Progress Full Coilover's kit.
