Default mildy boosting a stock B17A

What HP gains can I expect with 6-8psi? I just want to boost only as much as a stock motor can handle for daily driving. I'm using an LS YS1 tranny with the motor. Your advice/experience? Thanks.

First things first.

1. Are you going to be using a turbo or a super?

2. What kind of super/turbo? JRSC? Vortec? T3? GT42? 6-8 psi will be a small gain on a T25 as comepared to a GT42 where 6-8 psi is like a gazillion horsepower considering that turbo deserves its own zip code.

3. Why are you using an LS transmission? Shorter Gears are better for acceleration regardless of boost or all motor.

1. going turbo

2. don't know what kind/brand of turbo, anything reliable

3. LS tranny is a temporary replacement. I do have a shortgear YS1

Not looking to breaking world speed records or 1/4 mile times. I've had my stock NA setup for a few years already now I'm thinking of doing something different.
