6.25k is the redline I believe..

0 because racing that car is the most pointless thing you could ever do. Its engine and gearing was engineered for gas mileage and adequate power around town. Not to racing other 17 second cars.

shift right at the redline.... dont enter the redline, thats red, which means NO, STOP DONT GO HERE lol. So shift before the RED.

damn shifting at 6XXX rpm's must suck, swap a h22, my gsr's vtec pulls at 5800 rpms all the way to 8200.

I found that the best shifting point was at 6000rpm.

The stock exhaust is too restictive to allow power over that point. The cutoff is at 6800 but it is usless to go even near that point since the engine dosnt pull that much after 6000...

It's true that this engine isnt made for racing but if you get to pull every single horses from it, you can still make good times for stock car.

I ran 15.99 with my stock F22a4 at the time with only a CAI. not bad for a 130hp Sohc

If you want really good performance, swap in an H22 tranny. Then boost the damned thing.

that is so correct. just put an h22a and call it quits like i did(for now)
