Getting into AUTOX
The best thing that you can do as a novice is to leave your car stock until you learn to drive it at it's limits and then slowly upgrade. AutoX is broken in to different classes based on the type of car and what mods it has so if you just start randomly modding the car you may end up in a class where you can't be competitive.
http://www.scca.org has all of the regional websites listed and will have contact names and phone numbers so that you can get out for the next event. All you need is your car... normally they will have loaner helmets on hand

so far ive only got springs, shocks, and front strut bar.im getting rear lower tie bar soon
Newbie: "What class am I in?"
Me: "What are you driving?"
Newbie: "(Some import car)"
Me: "Any mods?"
Newbie: "It's basically stock?"
Me: "What do you mean by basically?"
Newbie: "Oh... just springs, shocks, exhaust, intake, strutbars..."
Me: "Street Touring"
I don't blame Newbies for not knowing but from the following conversation I would say the first thing you should get is a rulebook. Then when you get out there and drive for several events you should be able to tell what you car needs and make future mods accordingly.
Things you will need (or should get):
Helmet, Magnetic Numbers, Good Tire Pressure Gauge, RULEBOOK, air tank or compressor.

C'mon out, and ask questions.
I'll be at the NASA event running #31 in a BSP Pantera, or maybe GS/X Integra, so if you show up to that one, say hello!

For the event on the 17th do you have to preregister. I'm going for sure but I'm not sure I'm going to race. Also would it be better to have someone who has done it before to give tips on the track, or jusdt go by yourself and start off slow? Thanks, Ryan
