I highly doubt that even does anything. Seems like a scam.

soo.....I dunno. I've heard of these so-called boxes before. All of them were scams. I wouldn't be surprised if this one is either. But if you want to try it out and then let the rest of us know ...please feel free to do so.

I was wondering how they maintained 99% positive feedback for obvious BS in a box. Pretty smart scam. I guess it's true there's a sucker born every minute.

You have to becareful when reading description on THESE types of products. From other like items sold on ebay, I highly DOUBT that this is some sorta chip. To further clarify, most of these type items usually turn up as being nothing but a bunch of wires wired in and through the box....that's refered to as a module. Sometimes, there are things inside the box..but I assure you, from those I have gotten my hands on and seen...there has never been a microchip inside. They act more or less like those expensive ground wire kits and do nothing of major performance increase for your car. Though....it may seem like it mentally because you've just "added" something to your car. Realistically....you can even build one of these pieces of craps at home by yourself for half the price if not what the guy is asking for if you really really wanted to.

all it is, is a resistor from a hardware store that costs a dollar that tells either the Intake Air Temperature sensor or your Coolant Temperature Sensor that it is much colder than the actual reading would be, so it runs the fuel richer and the ecu changes the fuel map's .. etc..

so it does work, but its stupid and it decreases gas milege and is not worth a 2,000 percent markup

some will have a resistor in it. I know I posted a pic of one that a friend took apart. It had nothing but wires running through it.

so what got up your *** and made you decide to defend such useless products? you have one on your ride? Have you physically SEEN one of these type "boxes"? I have.
And I have taken a few apart before and found it to be utter trash! So to restate what you've said, unless YOU HAVE TOUCHED THE PART, SEEN WHAT IT DOES AND HAVE ENOUGH ELECTRICAL BACKGROUND TO KNOW THIS ISN'T A WORTH WHILE INVESTMENT, DO NOT OPEN UP YOUR PIE HOLE. Thanks and have a nice day.

Here. I found the thread I posted pics in concerning my original thoughts about it ( before I actually got to touch one ), but the pics are no longer there. Read for yourself.

99%. freaking better rating then I do. and I sell oem parts.

</TD></TR></TABLE>

i will open my mouth when ever i want because i never make stupid assumptions and i have seen these scam products around and the product description itself says where to hook the "box" up and WOW it says that it hooks up to either the <U>coolant temp. or the air temp. </U> see look its in plain english cool i can read

go ahead and buy one because you are obviously one of the targeted buyers

I won't....but it just urks me that people forget that an Integra is not wired the same way as a ******* Jeep or a Jeep wired the same way as a ******* Explorer...nor an explorer wired the same way as a 350z. These boxes are all built the SAME WAY no matter WHAT CAR or truck you buy it for ( as I can see from the ones I've actually handled ). Even though some will argue that it doesn't matter.....does it really NOT matter? If car A is wired differently than car B....then I would go as far as to say it DOES matter. Especially if the product is labeled differently for each car yet looks and is built one in the same ( in that case...why not call it universal instead of saying this one is for this and that one is for that ). If only those pics were still up......those pics showed the earlier versions of these ground boxes.....

and whoopdie doo....so all that changed was that people are adding resistors to it. Wow.......that's going to make a HUGE jump in performance and a difference in how people view this shitty product *rolls eyes*

True. Having some electrical experience of my own, I know where your coming from.

These units do nothing really, truthfully some kid this morning told me about the one he got for 2 dollars and says it gave him low end power.

I told him he hooked up a box with wires in it and a resistor. That doesn't equal power. He just looked at me and said "Well at least I have a Eclipse" all I said is "Its slow". People like him and verbol believe anything they tell are told to them and its a waste to even reply to them, as it urges them to reply with more useless bullshit that all of us self respecting Honda-Tech members and Integra enthusiasts can go without. For Defending us all I applaud you Naruto.

i agree it is BS that the seller states its for a specific car when it is actually the same thing across the board..

ebay will not let you sell something that is universal for some reason they ask that it is car/model specific.. i think that is why it is labeled like that.

actually, that's partially incorrect. I've seen many automobile parts labeled "universal" in its auction title. Some include car/ model with the word "universal" but I've seen other products sell that don't.
