i have a 2000 acura integra LS 5spd and swapped out my obd2b ECU for a OBD1 p75 w/conversion harness. i made the swap because im going to have a straight pipe and don't want that stupid engine light into limp mode. i swapped out the ECU and my stock tach doesn't work BUT my autometer one does! i put back my OBD2b ECU and both the stock and autometer tachs work. HOW CAN I HAVE MY STOCK TACH WORK WITH MY OBD1 ECU? do i need to mess with the ignitors or something? PLEASE HELP...!
i converted my 98 teg to odb1 and everything works fine. i think something may be wrong with your odb1 ecu try a different ecu and see what happens.

ok if its the adaptor, wouln't both my stock and the autometer one not work? my autometer tach works tapped off of my stock tach signal behind the stock tach cluster.
