Default Ball joint removal

I've read several threads about this but none are clear on once you have seperated the Lower LCA from the Ball Joint, how do you actually get the Ball Joint out.

They have to be pressed out, it would be much easier and cheaper to just buy a semi used new one.

To buy a used ball joint? To buy what exactly used. If you have a picture that would be great.

I can either pay $210.00 parts & labor at Honda or I can buy the tools and do it myself. I know how to seperate the LCA from the ball joint. But getting the ball joint out is my main concern.

Remove knuckle from car. Use balljoint tool and a vise to press out the old one and press in the new one.

Remove the whole assembly and stick it in a vise? then press it out?

You need to remove the knuckle from the car.
Then, when you have the entire assembly in your hands, just whack the stud side with a damn hammer. Who cares if the threads are mushroomed? Youre replacing it!
As far as putting a new one in, however, it will need to be pressed into the knuckle.

Again, a big hammer will easily pop the ball joint from the knuckle

You have to use a ball joint remover/installer. The kit will usually consist of 3 part. You put the tool on the balljoint and tighten the castle nut. Then there is a base to put on the opposing side of the ball joint so as you tighten the vise it has a cavity to push out into. Remove the old balljoint from the tool. Flip tool over and use the installer base to press the new balljoint in.

Here is a link to this section in the service manual.

That would be your cheapest option.
