scammed
Just purchased a turbo kit (or so I thought) off the partstrader.com for $1000. Got my package the other day and I was sent a intake manifold for a toyota. DAMN BASTARDS. Tried to contact the selling owner but now he won't answer the phone. Contacted the police dept out of VA and they finally got ahold of the sender. The detective gave him 2 days to give him a certified check and they will send it to me. All this hassle for somebody just not being honest. Also, the same ad that got me was reposted 5 days after he recieved my payment. DO NOT respond to an ad for a greddy turbo kit from a James Shartzer out of manassas, va. Just looking out so you don't go through what I went through.
one of the reasons i wont buy things from out of state...i like too see the merchandise that im buying...also the same reason that when i sell things on this board i prefer people to pick up locally...i guess it just shows that i have the product mentioned in my hands here for anyone to look at...
yeah i bought a greddy turbo on partstrader for 1300 with intercooler
this was like 8 months ago
i guess i should be glad i got a turbo to begin with
it was crap based on what he described in the ad
the intercooler piping was all jacked up and the intercooler itself was way to big height wise, and length wise it was too short
the turbo itself looked good i guess, but if i had to do it again i would definetely want to see it in person before buying it
