Default bad lower Ball joints?

how do you test to see if they are bad... someone had told me jack the car up by control arm and pry on wheel ? i have a lot of clunking coming fro my front end, i know i need a few bushings but when my car hits certain bumps or even road crowns, it just wants to turn that way, which would make me think it was something other than bushings, also i replaced my upper balljoints... because they were worn and making a very similar clunking noise the noise went away but now a different but similar noise is back. please help

thanks
Marc

you just have to physically check and isolate each balljoint and bushing. put the car on jackstands and shake things. have a friend move the wheel and put both hands on the balljoint and arm or whatever. THAT is the test.

no one seems to want to do it themselves. they just want the answer.... youre not going to get an answer over the internet. you have to check.

and dont rule out the steering rack end bushing. turn the steering wheel all the way left/right and vigorously shake the extended side. check for play on each side.
