Just swapped a b18a1 in a 90 hatch and its not getting any fuel at all to the fuel lines or even the filter, just replaced filter and main relay. You can hear the fuel pump prime when you turn the key. What else could the problem be?? Car starts right up when you spray starter fluid, just isnt getting gas... help need to fix this

 

seems like a injector problem.
Check to see if fuel gets to the rail?

 

like i said fuel is not even getting to the fuel filter, filter is dry and the line to the fuel rail

if it don't get the the filter then check the pump.
pump prime doesn't mean it's sucking gas to the line.

ok well i just dropped the tank and im about to pull the pump out and check it out.. what should i look for? or just replace?

 

just replace it while you are at it.
it's about time to replace a 15 year old pump.

 

oh one more... don't forget to replace that filter bag ( whatever that call ) at the end of the pump.
maybe that is clog up.

 

aight sounds good. putting a new pump on now lets she if she fires up... umm cross your fingers, pray do anything to get my motor started.. hehe

 

Do you have and CELs...did you just do this swap and not hook something up correctly? Grounds are a big deal with this, but like stated above it does sound like a pump, so replace the pump and if it doesnt work, then come, cuz theres many things that could be wrong still! Good Luck

 

ok it runs now, changed the fuel pump, but i think it was because there wasnt any gas in there the whole time! o well

 

checj your ground on the thermostat from your harness, it is under the distributor, i always overlook that ****, keep us posted, gl
