HELP! water leack inside the car
hey everyone. i have a 1990 DA. today we had massive amounts of rain in NY and while i was driving to school i mentioned that my passenger side is full of water. i looked under teh dash and i see water coming from there. there is a white box under there which seems to be the problem. idk could it be leaking from my firewall? this is my DD its clean as hell and i really love it. plz help me out with the problem. thakns
Is it coolant? Sometimes the heater core, under the dash, in those older cars goes bad and cracks. This leads to coolant comming into the car from the heater hoses. If it isnt coolant then you probably dont have this problem.
its not coolant, its water. it shouldnt be from my fire wall because the whole is in the drivers side. there is a lil white under the glove box that has a hose coming out of it. it looks like it is supposed to be filled with some thing. the leak seams to be from there. plz help me or im gonna have major rust problems.

do a search, there are plastic plugs or something under the DA's cowl trim that degrade over time and allow water to leak in. It's a pretty easy fix.
For G3 Integras getting water in the trunk, it's going to be either the taillight gaskets, or the taillight lenses. On mine the gaskets were fine, it was water getting in through the top edge of the taillight lenses. I ran some silicone sealant around the top edge of the lens and no more leaks.
To find out for sure, take a taillight off and remove the wire harness and everything. Then fill up your bathtub with water and dunk the taillight into the water, lens facing up. If you see tons of bubbles coming out around the edge of the red lens, then that's your culprit.

It could wither be leaking from the windshield cowl or the heater hoses running through the firwall, I know cuz mine leaked from both. If you pull the plastic cover off by with windshield wipers, you will see the plugs very easy to fiz with silicone. As far as the heater hoses there are rubber grommets that can go bad, same deal replace or silicone

agreed. Go to http://www.g2ic.com and read the article on how to fix the leaky passenger side floor. Had the same problem on my DA, and this fixed it.
