if you get a d16z6 you would run a y8 ecu (forgot code), but if you get a d15b, then you can run it but it wouldn't run perfect. You would need to tune it. OR find a rare JDM 96-00 D15B ecu, which do exist. I know for a fact they came in some ferios.

D15B is 130ps, or about 125 hp, same as the Z6 but with less torque.

I recently got a D16Z from HMotors. With shipping it cost my $682.00.

I was very happy with what I received.

The only thing I did was replace the timing belt (Which I highly recommend) and record the milage so you know exactly where you are concerning the belt.

Since is was a JDM from USDM engine swap in a Civic EX I had to swap out the O2 sensors (JDM has one wire, USDM has 4)

Other than the timing being 3 degrees off it was a turn key easy project.

Now here is my personal thoughts on HMotorsOnline.

They are the best! Friendly, helpful, and easy to work with. The engine I got was in great shape, and from all the reviews I have ever read about them, this is normal, not an exception to the rule. The D16Z I got was a peppy replacement for the worn out D16 in my Civic. The particular one I got was from an automatic transmission application, so I had to use my M/T and clutch assembly; no problem.

Delivery: They are located in California, I am in Ft. Worth Texas. I ordered my engine on a Friday afternoon and they told me it would be seven working days for delivery. So, at 10 AM on the next Monday, I was quite surprised to receive a phone call stating my engine was waiting at the shop! Heh! I took vacation time for later in the week because I really figured it would be a full 7 days for them to deliver!

I give HMotors a 10 out of 10 stars and will use them again in the future if I have the need/get a chance. I have already recommended them to several friends than plan on making purchases from them in the near future.

I doubt you will find a cheaper, better engine for your car with equal miles on it.

Oh, BTW: Dont snap off your old O2 sensor like I did (The damned thing was rusted in place!) because they arent giving those little buggers away for free! heh
