my car rattles and shakes at idle to 1300 RPM. also there's some wheel hop particularly uphill. there was new inserts on the tranny (lower mounts) when i bought the car. the top mounts have no inserts. are the lower mounts too tight causing the shakes, and the top mounts too loose causing wheel hop?

i thought the lower mounts would eliminate the wheel hop and the top mounts would cause the engine vibrations. not the other way around. it feels like bolts are going to vibrate out and the entire car will part out in the street.

 

take the inserts out...
