changing gauge bezel in 94 qccord, need help exchanging odometer
i have to switch the gauge bezel in my 94 accord and ineed to know how to take my odometer and put it in the new gauge bezel. i know a honda dealership can but thatd be kind of pricey.
hahaha, no actually it has a few thousand less but i dont want to get into any **** if i decide to sale the car and they say i tried to show it has less miles than it actually does. i might just keep the new ones and just remember how much less it is and just go that route if i cant figure out how to change them out.
u juss remove that whole cluster out and on the back of it there are 3 or 4 bolts to it, unscrew that and replace the new one in
By "gauge bezel" do you mean the entire cluster (all of the gauges plus surround)? Cuz' if you put a whole new cluster in, and your speedometer worked from the old one, you can just swap the speedo's. When my speedo stopped working, I put a brand new one in, and I tried to figure out how to remove the odo from the speedo but couldn't see any way to seperate them. I think it's done that way on purpose though, cuz' if you could remove the odo it would be really easy to set it back a few 1000 miles.

With the cluster out of the dash, take the clear plastic front off by pushing in on it's clips. After the clear face is off, you can get to the mounting points for the black gauge surrounds. Now, turn it upside down and you'll see 4 little screws holding the speedo in place. You don't have to remove the plastic piece that is covering the entire backside, just don't loose any of the screws in it or you'll end up having to take the back off anyway. Once the screws are out, the speedo comes right out, and install is exact opposite of removal. This way, your old speedo with the correct odo reading can still be used.
