clutch pedal problem
i was test driving my car from finishing up my engine swap(b18c) and when i press the clutch in , to get a smooth shift with the gas and clutch, i got to take my foot almost all the way off the clutch pedal to get it smooth. now i dont know if i need a longer or shorter clutch cable but the thing is i got a 90-91 teg clutch cable. any ideas?
yeah, but also when i step on the clutch it makes a noise like something is loose in the tranny(Y1), but when i let go of the clutch pedal it makes a lesser noise and it sucks. so i am trying to figure out what it could be.
did you replace the clutch when you did the swap? just sounds like a misadjusted cable.. you just have to play with it.. adjust a lil, start it up, put it in first left off the clutch until its just about to die out.. keep doin so until you like the way it feels.. thats the way i did mine anyway i found it to be sufficient.. you could also change the way the cable feels by puttin wire or a hose clamp around the bushing at the bottom of the cable.. i did it and i love it
i got a new clutch in there after the swap and i got a 90-91 integra clutch cable, but i thought that it was suppose to fit. is there another clutch cable i could(longer or shorter). i cant adjust the cable any longer on the one i have.
