Default 94-97 accord vtec to non vtec. what is needed?

i know it sounds stupid but a friend bought an ex with a blown motor. he has a non vtec motor sitting around in a parts car and wants to install it. my question is what is needed besides the motor to convert it? ecu? wiring? any help will be greatly appreciated. thanks!!

I think the ECU would be different... so maybe that's one of the things you need to get....
....don't think the question sounds stupid... ...that's why you we all come to honda-tech...

search, you will need the head, vtec silinoid (sp), all the stuff that goes with the vtec stuff, vtec wiring, probably distributor, probably timing belt, ecu, etc...

might be easier to get another engine with wiring harness and ecu
