Might as well get a K&N drop in if you like the stock airbox unless you hate that wash&oil thing.

try changing it, its cheaper than a new map sensor plus it has to be done sooner or later. won't hurt to change it now

Go on S2ki.com and search the groupbuys in the forums section. There is a vendor, Import Tuning Garage, that is selling them for $53 shipped and they are in stock. Mine is coming UPS in two days.

If you have the money buy a Spoon drop in, I've heard lots of good things about those.

I have to admit, that's a great price. I like dealing with Gary because he's a reputable guy and his shipping is very fast. $45 is an awesome price $53 isn't a bad, and I got my tracking number within an hour or so. To each their own.

I need to change my filter also. I was thinking of the Comptech filter, is it worth the extra $?? Anyone in the know?

There isn't a significant difference, just preference. Unless your filter has logged over 100K miles and is black no one should expect a noticable gain, just possibly better throttle feel.

I'm trying to get a used Comptech filter, which is able to be cleaned (they are new for $50ish).

Spoon filters are nice, but they are expensive...$100 and up!

yeah dude that filter is pretty nasty. it will help idle, but if you dictate an idle "problem" that may not be it. take the filter off for a second, then put it back on. it wont vary THAT much, i mean noticable, but not when driving really. if its the MAP sensor, that would me much more noticable
