hey i have a chance to buy a 98 vtec engine with 60k on it. the only reason i cant buy it is that i dotn know how to wire the vtec to work but i am geussing the rest just bolts in and slight wiring.if you could possibly help me i would appreciate it.THANKS!

 

What kind of car will you be installing it into? Assuming you already have MPFI its not too terrible. Go to http://www.rywire.com/ and look for the harness for your car. Then you'll need a new ECU too and some other little things. Here's an article to get you started http://crx.honda-perf.org/arti....html And by all means do a SEARCH

 

i own a 1990 civic si with d16a6 so yes i already have mpfi.i will be gettign the ecu too so no need to worry just dont wanna do the swap and
then be with out a car cause my **** dont run .

 

do you know a website that would have a guide to do a head swap from the d16a6 to the d16y8?

ya bu that pertains to 92-95 which coem equipped with hydro trans and obviuosly mien isnt.so if you can find soem more info for me i would appreciate the help thanks!
