Default APEX'i n-1 exhaust into eg hatch question..

i just bought apexi's n-1 catback today (ex trim) for my 93 vx hatch. it has a jdm b16a2 with stock header. the cat isn't long enough to bolt up directly to the header. is this a common problem, do i need to take it to a muffler shop of should i take it back and get a differen't trim? thanks.

what do you mean by ex trim? i know someone that has an apexi n1 on there EG. they did a gsr motor and it was short to by like 7 inches i believe. take it to a muffler shop. have them custom fit you a cat.

does anyone know what size the cat or test pipe should be? i don't feel like putting it together and then having to take it right apart again for the measurements!

Well I got a catback for a dx/si hatchback trim and mine is a VX also and used a 94-01 cat with the 94-01 header for my LS and it was a perfect fit.

Obviously if you have an exhaust for a coupe on your hatch you will have problems. I would try getting a cat for a coupe. Just get a resonated test pipe off ebay for $30, that way if it doesn't fit you can sell it to some ricer and it won't break the bank.
