Default apexi n1 silencer question

can running a silencer cause any adverse effects to the exhaust system? the reason i ask is because i have to use my silencer as my car is my daily driver and i have to commute to school everyday. without the silencer, the car is pretty loud. i'm currently running the jdm 4-1 header, carsound cat, and apexi n1 catback.

anyway, can having a silencer in cause any type of buildup or damage to the cat itself since the silencer somewhat cuts off airflow (at least, that's how i think of it since the diameter of the silencer's hole is smaller than the exhaust itself)?

please let me know. thanks

yeah, i know there's a difference with it in and out. but with it in, can it damage any components such as the cat; just because it does cut off the airflow a bit?

i would leave it out, but then i have to use my car as a commuter, and i've already had a run in with the law about my car being too loud.

it shouldnt make the cat wear out any faster than aftermarket cats already do.
