HELPP!!!!! ME!!!!!!!! i-vtec2.4l

I just bought a wreck honda element , it runs and starts up fine , but the thing is that it idles to high to about 2500rpms and drops down to 1500rpms and then jumps repeatedly , need to figure out the problem fast !! could the mapsensor make that happen ??? please anyone who is a honda master give me some pointers thanksss!!!!!!

that or maybe the IAC is bad Id check these two 1st.

was it all torn apart when you got it? and did you put some stuff back together on it... for example vaccum lines and stuff that is easy to put on and off.
