I want to instal a kill switch to my ingnition. Do i need a fuse or relay?

Can I i just cut the wire, install a switch and fuse inbetween the 2 wires and have it work?

You will need a relay or a very big switch, a relay and a small switch to control the relay is best, there are a number of ways to do Ign./starter kills most will work for both, you will find all sorts of things to do with relays here http://sonolithics.com/files/bosch.pdf hope this helps, feel free to IM me if you need more help. 94

ok.. doing a fuel pump kill switch.

i got a 15amp switch. a inline fuse (going to use a 3 amp??).

should this be ok??

and does it go like this: swtich, fuse, fuel pump. or fuse, switch, fuel pump.

????

just do it on the ignition, no car will run without ignition and its safer and more secure than starter kill..
