I have a 90 b16 boosted at 7 psi and i can get a set of usdm itr cams for 200 and i was wondering will they be worth it are no? They are stock in my b16 now ,
are should i buy em and use one type r cam and one b16 cam. Give me your opinions and if its worth getting, THanks

I would buy them for 200, sell them for 350 for a profit, and get a set of gsr cams for turbo, or some nice aftermarket turbo cams. I dont think the type r cams would be very good for boosted applications

as if my answer wasnt good enough, the type r cams are not meant for turbo apps. gsr cams would be better. What he wants to do with his money is up to him. Thats the best answer

do not go with R cams in a boosted app.

i havent had alot of luck with cams in a turbo app.
usually not worth the money, for such a small gain.

You can use type r cams on a boosted app. A lot of people do here in TX, use Kenny Trann for eg. He runs pro front wheel drive in the ndra and he as the highest trap speed.It's your choice.

I would use them, you should notice a nice gain over your b16a cams

 

390whp and 260ft-lbs on a stock bottom B16 with CTR cams. My tuner said that the cams most likely made a big difference in the hp output.

 

Hey, I'll sell you the GSR intake cam for $60...better than the ITR cam.
