check engine light....i checked code....3 short blinks.....what is this??

MAP sensor!

 

what does the map sensor have to do with me loosing vtec.....check engine light comes on and vtec will not engage...im getting a map sensor code though?

 

check your main wire for the vtec solinoid. be sure it has a solid connection all the way through. My old 94 turbo hatch would give me a MAP CEL, changed it, no luck, put it back on the dyno... when it showed up 24whp less we started testing for things, found vtec had a lose connection.

sodered the wire for good connection, CEL went away, got the power back.

 

all my wires are solid...had it checked profesionaly and one wire seemed to be loose which was sottered...but as of loose connections everything seems to me tight...my fear is getting a new map sensor and i will still get that code...BTW...i do not have an O2 sensor hooked up
