Default PLEASE HELP ME

Please help me.

00' USDM B18c1
Sk2 Man., ST Cam Gears, I/H/E, adj. fpr
Dyno tuned, running Crome chipped p28.

Broke stock retainer, I dropped a valve and almost have to replace everything.(Head, valves, springs, retainers, head gasket, pistons, rings, wrist pins.)

This is the 2nd valve spring retainer I have broke in 2 months. This is a daily driver, but I BEAT THE HELL out of it. Racing everyday.

What retainers don't break?????? I hear if I buy titanium units they are only good for 10,000 miles.

What pistons sould I change to? I want to be faster now, no upgraded cams(maybe later), turbo someday far away.

I just want reliable yet strong as hell.

Thanks in advance.

Nothing wrong with titanium retainers. They won't last 100,000 miles, but they shouldn't break either. A stock retainer cost me a motor once

Having the TI retainers hard coated will make them the most reliable part on the engine.Buffing the end of the valve spring smooth will help the uncoated ones last longer too.

Where do you get retainers hard-coated?

Of course, anything u beat a lot enough will not last longer. ive had my retainers for as much as 30k and they are made by crower. knock on wood that they never fail but i dont mean on them a lot. I only punch them occasionally..i really dont know what kind of retainers u can get that will last for long when u beat on them a lot. Id like to know too
