It's a mig welder, the person I got it from tells me I need to get this "tip" thing that feeds the wire at the end of the gun. Can someone tell me what it is, before I head off the harbor frieght (if they have it), also, what size wire? I just need to do really basic welding of pipes for my exuast. It's one of those 200dollars welders that you can get anywhere.

 

Im not sure how fluxcore works but if you have a spool of wire it should say its thickness.

I use .0030 I think is the sizing, just match the tips.

As for pushing it thru the gun, You shouldnt have a tip on when threading it, you should have pushed it out the gun then thread the tip thru it and screw it down!
