best bet is to just take it apart and clean thoroughly...i dont see how else to get into the little crevices where the previous owner spilled the liquids...it could probably use a good cleaning too if a lot of liquid was spilled...just my 2 cents

lol...when didn jess = just?

Anyways...take simple green, spray it all over and into the area where the tray slides back...move the tray back and forth while your spraying it...eventually it'll work its way into the little gears and get the sticky stuff taken care of...be plentiful though cause it needs to break the stuff down.

Then just take some windex or something and clean the tray off afterwards becuase the simply green is going to make it kinda greasy...

Pull the actual console off of the leather trim. You can access the slide mechanism from underneath. Spray it down with some cleaner, rinse.

I spilled coffee in mine too.
