Default GSR ECU ON B16

OKay I was wondering if it would be a disadvantage to run the P72 on a second gen B16, because of the secondaries inside the IM. You know VTEC at 4600 and secondaries at around 5800. Considering The B16 is a single stage VTEC and unless equipped with the GSR manifold I'd figure it'd be disadvantage? Am I wrong or am I right? Would it be a good idea to get the Type R ECU on the B16? Considering VTEC engagement is oh so important to performance. Too early not good Too late not too good. Because of the Redline differences between the two ecus the Type R obviously hits VTEC a little later than the B16 ECU.
