OVER HEATING???

Default OVER HEATING???

so lately my car has been over heating when it idels but now it is starting to over heat when i drive??? i dont know what is wrong? does it soud like a head gasket or thermostat? also the heater barley works....doesnt blow hot air...

take cap off radiator, turn on car. if water shoots up in the air like a fountain, your gaskets bad. if not, check thermostat, might be bad. also check to see if your fan is working.

DO NOT TAKE OFF THE CAP IF THE CAR IS HOT!

just in case....

check coolant levels... make sure the fan is working....

Check to see if fan works and that you have enough coolant in there. Over time car could've been overheating at idle, lost some coolant and now you have air in the system. Also might want to get a new thermostat and cap just to be safe, shouldn't cost more than $20 total.

yea my fan doesnt turn on but it works so im trying to find a power source that only turns on when the key is on. but i havnt found one yet....any ideas???
