It's like 50 times more easy if you pull the engine out of the car.
But either way your best bet is to go buy a helms manual, that way you can go through it step by step and make sure you've done it right

Seriously not tring to be an *******. but alot of people bring f'd up cars into our shop all the time saying "I just tried to do a t belt" etc.... save yourself money and frustration just take it to a shop, or ask a friend for help who knows what there doing.
i know how you feel. If you have the time and you are low on money I say do it yourself. I was doing mine in autoshop, I was almost finished, then I injure my leg and so I had to towed it but the point is if I can do it, you can do it, since im only 17.

That is so true. As such as important than timing belt, dont do anything if dont know HOW. Period.

It doesent matter how old are you.
1. You got to know what you are doing. Why and how.
2. You got to have some skills to pull it thru.
My advice is to you that bring the car to shop. Then WATCH while professional changes your timing belt. That is one good way to learn, ask why and how. Then maybe next time you can pull it thru youself.
And I've never had to pull a motor when replacing timing belt. And i've done over 50 of them. I'm car mechanic, believe me.
