only had time to flow one :-/ i'll be taking it apart for the winter after this race on sunday.. so i'll prolly spend more time on the flow bench with it :D

i've never flow'd a head with no valve in it.

I'd be interested to see what an unported head with an identical valve job would do.

Damn that pretty good. What did you use to flow it? What kind of bench? Homemade set-up? Good luck this weekend

yeah.. if i would have taken more time and tuned the itbs to their potential i'm sure it would have went faster.. i just got frustrated with the "beta" itb rom i was using.. i'd get it tuned, then make a couple runs, then had to re tune it.. come to find out that my itbs were going outta synch.. one race day i got the itbs synched up in my garage.. drove to the track. made a couple runs down the 1/8th and by the 3rd run they were so far outta synch that i was running on 3 cylinders ..
and thats with tuning with crome pro, wbo2 and datalogging.. i hand synched them and drove home.. got the skunk2 from my buddy and decided to build a new set of itbs with better linkage that doesnt "bend" under load.. (when i extended the linkage we Tig welded extension tabs on.. which in turn weakened the metal, allowing it to bend )

i can tell u this.. my ITBS had WAY more midrange torque.. even with its bad state of tune (due to synch problems)..

i ran the itbs the for couple months of the seasons... i was still learning to drive the car.. (notice the 2.0 60's) when i got fed up with the synch problem.. i believe that had i got the synch issues solved, and had more time to learn those drag slicks i could have run 1.8 60's like i was doing with Skunk2 IM, on an open diff. i also think i could have pulled 8.5's in the 1/8th with the ITBs

oh well, thats all gone now.. selling the Hatch.. and working on my DA and boosting it.

What size cylinder did you use to flow your head? Did you make your own sliderplate?

true, but in my neck of the woods there arent any floating around so i'd have to pay more to have one shipped to me.. either way.. not convenient for me to get my hands on cheaply LOL..

my wife and i recently had a baby girl.. so i dont have a whole lot of extra $$$ floating around anymore that and time seems to be hard to find these days..

gonna get outta the all motor building for myself for a while.. i've got friends i'm building for.. but i've got my fingers in too many pots to continue with my race hatch.. in order to be competetive, i'd have to have alot more money than i have now..
just waiting for wife to finish her nursing degree to get her RN and then i'll finish my engineering degree up when she can support us both with her RN then i'll be able to persue my allmotor dreams
