Default factory keyless entry?
hi i jsut got a keyless entry remote from a 2000 TL to use on my 1996 RL, problem is that the programming instructions i recieved dont seem to work for this remote. the two are compatable arent they? if not what remote do i need? and/or how do i program the one i have?

turn ign on
press lock on remote
turn ign off
repeat 2x more and remote should be programmed

isnt that how it works?
