Shift light, what/where to buy...
My car is basically stock at the moment and with all the talk about how inaccurate our tach's can be/are I want to get just a light, no super-duper tach for me please.
I'm looking for something small and looking for a good deal too
Any ideas on brands, where to purchase one, pics etc. would be great.
Thanks.

Did a search too, no real info.

I bought the autometer shift lite with the RPM pill not the SUPER DUPER tach. On my Teg, I put the shift lite inside the center heating vent. It is super duper bright and it still maintains the stock look. You can only see the shift lite unless you really pay close attention to detail or when I'm redlining.
trust me.............................just get the pencil light and rpm module from Autometer... @ jeggs or summitt.
you can hide it and the pills let it "grow" with your mods...i.e. higher revs as you build it.

I too have the regular Auto Meter shift light. I installed mine in the Driver side kick pannel. The light part sticks out about 1/2 an inch. It lens is right below the hood release. Works great!
Unless you're looking for it, you really don't see it!

how hard would it be to build a hondata one? anyone have any closer pics of the hondata one?
The Shift Light: activation RPM is also set from this button. For details on how the revs are programmed, download the installation manual. The shift light is a high intensity LED wired across the engine check light, the only light under computer control. The LED is very fast to light up, much faster than filament based bulbs.
I just bought the Proform shift light with the Dial on the back to adjust what RPM it comes on. So far I like it a lot, Just looking for a lower place to mount it (too Bright). The only thing I dont like about it is that the dial turns pretty easy and my friend bumped down to 5000 last night.
