Default Need ball joint press that works on the car

I need to replace the front lower ball joint on my 96 Civic. Does anyone know of a balljoint removal tool that works on the car, so I don't have to remove the knuckle?

You have to remove the axle, at the very least
At that point, you might as well remove the whole thing.

i just did this a week ago.. the easiest way to do this is remove the control arm from the car.. then get a hammer then wack the **** out of it.. you don't need a balljoint press. i rented one and i didn't even need it..

to remove the front control arm, there are 2 bolts on the top and these bolts are located on the side .. revobe those and the arm just falls off..

hope this helps..

however the arm shouldn't just fall off, you should have to use a pickle fork or puller to seperate the joints.

Just hammer the @#$ out of it. Make sure the nut is 3/4 of the way out. Eventually the balljoint will pop out. I tried the balljoint press and fork and ended up damaging the balljoint. Expensive item to replace if you don't have anything to push the ball joint back in.
