I had the exact problem. I evened expanded the snap ring which cused it to stay stuck for 2 months at a time.

I remedied the problem by using a 93-95 prelude inner hub on the transmission. No problem since.

I'm sure that you are using a teg's inner hub which is about 1/2 the size of the proper h22's

i'm having this problem too(92 VX + h22a4)...not popping out but its just not seated all the way in...just sloppy with a little play in it

haven't had too much time to mess around with it.

do you get a little click/knocking sound when you let out the clutch/start moving & tranny grabs the axle?

hopefully i'll get a some time to mess with it this weekend.

Just do what I said to do and your problem is solved. Mine started to give problems 1.5 years after the swap.

It's because you are using the Integra inner joint, where the shaft is not as long as the shaft on the Prelude/Accord inner joint. Thus your c-clip is not locking into place and is sliding out. I ran into this problem 5 years ago and wrote up some info a few years ago here: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=434668

do i have to worry about doing any damage drving it......i'm not doing burnouts or 3K launches....

just my daily commute back & forth to work 10miles.

is there any problem driving it like this except the clickity-clack noise it occasionally makes.

10 miles to work, 10 miles back. 20 miles a day. 105,600 feet of *POSSIBILITY* that all HELL BREAKS LOOSE.....

To answer your question, YES THERE IS A F****** PROBLEM. You could be driving, AND hit a deep pothole! Your axle could pop out causing the hub to crash out and suspension to bust out, snapping brake lines the car will lose all front braking power, the vehicle will dive into a slanted hell-mode of no return and the car will lose total control, vehicle does 360-tail-dive-tripple-flip-dip, SMASHES into oncoming traffic and 5 innocent schoolgirls crossing the street to goto 5th grade HOME-EC CLASS, and then your car will burst into flames from the collision and burn and injure more victims from the herendous explosion of fuel, flaming oil, metal and glass shards..........

ON BEHALF OF ALL INNOCENT CHILDREN EVERYWHERE, THAT ARE GETTING RAN OVER BY H22 SWAPPED CIVICS, LET ME ASK YOU THIS:

ARE YOU WILLING TO RISK IT?

i highly doubt it will come out...we had it on a lift last week & there is only a tiny bit of play in it....i'm talking like a 1/8th of an inch...just enough to be able to wiggle it.

i'm worried more about breaking it..then it popping out.
