No, the H22 is not a phone. However, it does have VTEC.

all h22's are vtec. no matter where its from us,japan or europe. now h23's are both. i hear the h23 does have vtec but it is rare and hard to find. i think it is only in japan.

Yep, i dont know if it comes in an other car but i know for sure 6th gen wagons 4wd have h23a vtec. In the us there are h23a1, and a few h23a3, both non vtec.

Are you sure it says, h22a1 on block? or is it an f22 dohc or perhaps a h23. i dont think i have ever seen a h22 wit out the vtec on it. but could be wrong..

yeah it shouldn't just be h22. h22 is just short for all. either its gonna be h22a(jdm) h22a1, h22a4(us) i don't know what the euro block says.

Now this is weird, my h23a3 comes from a canadian prelude and is DOHC... Plus there are no indication what so ever on the engine that is was made by honda. According to my researches i found that the h23a3 was used in rovers, wich would explain the plain valve cover. I dont remember exactly wich rover model but it was a sedan.
