Default installation of OEM front underspoiler

The whole OEM kit looks pretty easy to install except for the front lip and may be the rear underspoilers. So on the front bumper, did anyone actual take the whole bumped off to drill those two silly holes, do you even need to drill the two silly holes for the lip to be properly secured? Anything will help. Thanks

I didn't remove the front bumper. I just put them up on jackstands to have room for the drill. If you are a pretty small guy, with a small drill, and your car isn't lowered, you can just slide under it.

i didnt even drill it -- ill get around to it eventually but ive had it for 7 months and have had no problems -- it doesnt hang any lower, and i mean its on there to stay w or w/o the drilling.

Default Installation of OEM front underspoiler

2001 Integra GS-R. Front underspoiler installed, no drilling, no front bumper removal, no problems. Just used all the bolts that came in the box.

Thanks guys, I had a feeling you didn't have to drill there, so now the whole project seems easy. At school now , but will be home soon to install, yes!!!

I agree. There are enough bolts on the bottom and two on each side of wheel well to hold that thing in place.
I just wanted to do it "right" which is why I drilled and added to more bolts.

Well, I have been thinking of taking mine OEM underbody kit off my car. (except the front lip) I can easily take off the two rear skirts but I am puzzled how to remove the side skirts aside from removing the plastic molys and screws. I plan on selling the skirts IF I can get them off... so if any has experience dismantling this, let me know.

Remove it the same way you removed the stock side trim pieces. By sliding it forward after removing the screws at the ends.

It will probably take some effort, (the trim panel may not want to slide) doing it with the door open helps your grip.

my car is lowered 2 on h&r sport -- and there is a nice big gash on the driver side of the front lip (first day w/o knowing how bad it could be)

my words of advice - take your time. going slow and pissing people off is better than scratching the hell out of the kit

JSM,
I'm in Austin,TX. Can I come and pick the kit up? I just need the sides and rear. I can bring money and my help if you need it to get the kit off and onto my car. Also, I can give you my stock skirts if you need to replace it.
thanks
Joe

i had a question in regards to the oem kit, i bought it but dont want to put it on my car because of the black trim that comes on the back pieces and wing piece of the side skirt, has anyone painted these rubber pieces? on my white car it will look really bad IMO.

The OEM Kit is a very easy kit to install on a 98+ Integra. I installed the whole thing in less than an hour with a friend of mine. The front and sideskirts are just bolt ons and fit easily. The back is a bit difficult. You have to drill holes, but after that, its easy.

I didnt drill in the front, it fits on pretty tight, so I just used the existing holes.
