Default B16a2 into a 1997 Civic

I swapped a B16a2 motor into a 97 civic dx... I used the Full obd2b Engine harness(motor 99 SI).
The Car runs good and Vtec engages and everything but the speedo and the tach doesnt work... I went and bought the plug that was missing since i was using that 99-00 Si ECU... i figured out why the tach doent work.. fixed it.. but now im stumped of the speedo... help...

that one plug that you are missing has the wiring for the speedo. check the helms manual for wiring.

buy a 96-98 EX obd2a harness and an obd2a to obd2b conversion harness from boomslang or the like, and you will have zero problems, and even pass inspection/smog in 50 states.

and then sell the 99si harness.

You can pick up a harness new at http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com or you can find a couple used ones at http://www.haprecycling.com, http://www.inlinefour.com (you'll have to call for availability) try those out and let us know.
